Dardis McNamee has lived in Vienna for 15 years and is a Professor of Journalism and Writing at Webster University Vienna. She is the founder, editor in chief and publisher of The Vienna Review ("Voices of a New Europe") and a periodic commentator on Austrian and US politics and culture to the German weekly Die Zeit, among the most respected publications in the German-speaking world. She is also an Austria correspondent for Conde Nast Traveler and has been an Austria Correspondent for AP-Dow Jones Newswires and a stringer for The New York Times.
